Cablox-OZ Tablets by Cablin Healthcare contain Ofloxacin and Ornidazole, a combination of antibacterial and antiprotozoal medicines used for the treatment of selected infections caused by susceptible microorganisms.

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes necessary for bacterial DNA replication and multiplication. This action helps eliminate susceptible bacteria responsible for certain infections.

Ornidazole belongs to the nitroimidazole class of antimicrobial medicines. It acts against certain protozoal parasites and anaerobic bacteria by interfering with their DNA, helping control susceptible infections.

Cablox-OZ Tablets may be prescribed for selected gastrointestinal infections involving susceptible bacteria or protozoa when combination therapy is clinically justified. However, not all cases of diarrhea or intestinal discomfort require antibiotic treatment.
