Cosispas-250 Capsules by Krisa Healthcare contain Mefenamic Acid 250 mg, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) prescribed for the short-term relief of mild to moderate pain and inflammation.
Mefenamic Acid works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes involved in prostaglandin production. Prostaglandins contribute to pain, inflammation and menstrual cramps. By reducing their production, Mefenamic Acid helps relieve painful symptoms and improve comfort.
Cosispas-250 Capsules may be prescribed for menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea), dental pain, headaches, muscular discomfort and selected inflammatory conditions. Mefenamic Acid may also help reduce heavy menstrual bleeding in some patients when prescribed by a healthcare professional.
